The re-scha\u00ae Inulin Powder is an indigestible oligosaccharide consisting of many fructose units linked by \u03b22-1 bonds. These \u03b22-1 bonds prevent absorption in the small intestine and make it a fiber. This inulin passes undigested through the small intestine unless the appropriate bacteria (lactobacilli) are present in the small intestine, which can break these bonds.
