The re-scha® Inulin Powder is a single feedstuff of natural origin for dogs, cats, all ornamental birds, pigeons, quails, and pheasants. It is obtained through a gentle water extraction process from chicory root fibers. It contains no unwanted flavors, colors, or preservatives.

The re-scha® Inulin Powder is an indigestible oligosaccharide consisting of many fructose units linked by β2-1 bonds. These β2-1 bonds prevent absorption in the small intestine and make it a fiber. This inulin passes undigested through the small intestine unless the appropriate bacteria (lactobacilli) are present in the small intestine, which can break these bonds. This is where re-scha® Probiotics (Ac-i-prim® and Reut-a-sin®) come into play. These lactobacilli products are capable of decoupling the specific bonds. This means lactobacilli are able to process this inulin. They break down the inulin, and as an end product, we obtain short-chain fatty acids through the bacteria, which can then be integrated into the energy metabolism. Thus, the re-scha® Inulin Powder is the ideal booster for Ac-i-prim® and Reut-a-sin®.

By targeted feeding with re-scha® Inulin Powder, we can influence the proliferation of lactobacilli in the small intestine. This means: the more lactobacilli settle in the small intestine, the less space there is for pathogenic (disease-causing) bacteria. Therefore, we must understand re-scha® Inulin Powder as a fiber-rich prebiotic feedstuff.

Feeding Instructions:

The re-scha® Inulin Powder offers maximum solubility. This has the advantage that this product can be administered both via feed and drinking water. Simultaneous administration of re-scha® Inulin Powder and the probiotic products Ac-i-prim® and Reut-a-sin® helps the lactobacilli to an exceptionally good start in the small intestine.

The following recommendations are only guidelines, which can naturally be adjusted upwards or downwards. It is advisable to start with smaller amounts and then slowly increase. It is also advisable to administer the re-scha® Inulin Powder over two meals per day.

Dogs and Cats:

Ornamental Birds:

1 measuring spoon of Inulin Powder/kg feed or 1 measuring spoon of Inulin Powder/1 drinking water. The Inulin Powder can also be used in flocks at risk of megabacteria (Macrorhabdus ornithogaster), as it normally passes undigested through the intestine and is only broken down in the presence of lactobacilli. Simultaneous administration of Ac-i-prim® is also advisable here.

Racing Pigeons:

1-1½ measuring spoons of Inulin Powder/kg feed or 1-1½ measuring spoons of Inulin Powder/1 drinking water. The Inulin Powder can of course be mixed with Fru-tin-flude®, Ac-i-prim®, and Tarsin. It is advisable to administer it on the day of return from a flight for quick regeneration and in the last two days before the start of a journey for energy replenishment, but always in combination with Ac-i-prim®.

Quails:

½ measuring spoon of Inulin Powder/kg feed or ½ -1 measuring spoon of Inulin Powder/1 drinking water.

Pheasants:

1 measuring spoon of Inulin Powder/kg feed or 1 measuring spoon of Inulin Powder/1 drinking water.

1 measuring spoon filled level contains approx. 3g of Inulin Powder.

Store cool and dry. With proper storage, re-scha® Inulin Powder has a very long shelf life.
