Description

Information and Directions for Use

Liquid supplementary feed for ornamental birds, carrier pigeons and chicken-like birds (domestic chickens, turkeys, pheasants, quails, guinea fowls)

Panta-20 contains valuable amino acids and vitamins which are needed for optimal condition and a strong immune system in a concentrated and nutritionally balanced form.

The following amino acids in particular are extremely important for smooth metabolic activity: alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, isoleucine, histidine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tryptophan and valine.

It is now known that the amino acids cysteine, glutamic acid, glycine and methionine play a prominent role in the development of the immune system by promoting the formation of antibodies and immunoglobulins. Glutamic acid in particular plays a key role in stimulating the body’s own hormonal system.

Panta-20 contains raw products of natural origin that contain these amino acids.

And important B vitamins should not be missing from in nutrition either. They play a role in the release and utilisation of energy in food and are indispensable for carbohydrate and protein metabolism. They are also involved in the formation of red blood cells through vitamin B12.

The contained L-carnitine is especially important for the transport of fatty acids. It channels the fatty acids to their breakdown site. L-carnitine also supports the formation of glucose from the amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine. Many biochemical processes cannot take place without the direct or indirect support of L-carnitine. An immunostimulatory function of L-carnitine is also being discussed.

Use and dosage in target species

Ornamental birds

Dosage in drinking water: 2-3ml/l drinking water

When administered in drinking water, the drinking vessels must be cleaned daily.

Dosage via feed (grain, germ, rearing feed): The 100 ml Panta-20 bottle with spray head should be used for administration via feed. One spray is equivalent to 0.1 ml of liquid and is sufficient for about 1-3 birds per day (e.g. 1 spray for a budgie and 3 sprays for a grey parrot).

Breeding: In the preparation phase (approx. 6 weeks before the laying) Panta-20 should be administered at least three times a week. Panta-20 is given daily during egg laying (until the last hatching egg). Panta-20 should not be administered during the incubation phase. The administration of Panta-20 should also be avoided immediately after hatching in order to avoid possible brood overlap. Once the fledglings are approx. 7 days old, Panta-20 can be used again twice a week. Weaned fledglings receive Panta-20 at least twice a week to support growth and the immune system.

Moult: Panta-20 contains the sulphurous amino acid L-methionine in a high concentration. This amino acid is particularly important for a smooth moulting period and the formation of intact feathers. Therefore, the birds receive a daily dose of 2-3 ml of Panta-20 per litre of drinking water during the entire moulting process.

After antibiotic treatments: Long courses of treatment with antibiotics are known to weaken the birds’ physical condition. It is therefore advisable to administer the birds with Panta-20 for a week following antibiotic treatment.

Before and after exhibitions: Panta-20 is given over a period of at least 5 days.

Carrier pigeons

Dosage in drinking water: 2-3ml/l drinking water

As a rule, Panta-20 is administered via drinking water. Our tip: Add the appropriate dose (2-3 ml/kg grain food) to a small amount of “Frutin”, mix well and add to the grain food. This ensures good intake and the drinking trough stays clean.

Breeding: Panta-20 must be administered for 10 days prior to mating. Panta-20 should be given twice a week during the rearing of young animals (nestling period).

Travel: It is sensible to use Panta-20 on the day of return and the following day. The dosage level (2-3 ml/l drinking water) should depend on the strain on the pigeon on the flight day. Administration on the day before the flight is also important. If very warm weather is expected on day of the flight, Panta-20 can also be administered early in the morning on the day of the flight. If Panta-20 is administered on the day of flight, it should only be administered via grain feed to ensure that the pigeons absorb sufficient water from a “clean” (additive-free) water source. In this case, the 100 ml spray bottle is the right choice.

Moult: Panta-20 contains a high concentration of the sulphurous amino acid L-methionine, as we already know. This special amino acid as well as all other amino acids contained in Panta-20 have their best effect if Panta-20 is administered daily in a dosage of approx. 2 ml/l drinking water over the entire course of the moult.
After antibiotic treatments: Panta-20 should be administered over a period of at least 5 days.
Before and after exhibitions: Panta-20 is given over a period of at least 5 days.

Gamebird

Panta-20 serves to prevent deficiency symptoms regarding vital amino acids and thus helps to support a functioning protein metabolism.

Breeding: Parent animals receive Panta-20 regularly (daily), but at least twice a week. A daily dose of 1 ml/l drinking water and two weekly doses of 2-3 ml/l drinking water is sufficient.

Rearing young animals: From the 2nd week of life, young animals receive Panta-20 twice in a dosage of 2 ml/l drinking water.

Moult: The daily use of Panta-20 in a dosage of 1-2 ml/l drinking water is appropriate during moulting.

After antibiotic treatments: Panta-20 should be administered over a period of at least 5 days (dose: 2 ml/l drinking water).

Before and after exhibitions: Panta-20 is given over a period of at least 5 days.

Dosage via grain feed: Of course, it is also possible to administer Panta-20 via the feed. Using the 100 ml spray bottle has proven effective, as mentioned above. It is of course also possible to fill Panta-20 into a larger hand spray bottle. The dosage is then about 1-2 ml/kg feed.d
